1981 Camaro Z-28 restoration
Project 1981 Z, is moving along well. While we are still quite away from formal prep for paint, we have come quite far. The body was taken to bare metal and set in sealer.
Now we tackle the floor pans.
We are using TRUE GM floor pans taken from a 1979 Z28 donor car. The decay was cut away on the 1981 Z, and our donor floor pans were sand blasted down before welding them in place. Soon we will have true GM floors. The welds will be ground down both inside the car and on the underside before final prep for paint.
