This is the primary lead in duct which mounts on the inner fender and draws cold air in from the front spoiler area of the nose. This is the same unit used on all 70-81 Trans Am and Firebird models.
The elbow mounts to this unit at the triangle opening at top section..
Used units are all 30 + years old and may have chips and light damage. If damage to the unit will be seen once installed you will find it listed as scratch and dent.Otherwise even if the unit is chipped and dinged and damage is not seen unit is sold at same cost as a damage free unit. This is a cold air intake hose for use on Firebird and Trans Am models with the Chevrolet 350 or 305 model. Used in 1977 - 1981 models. This is a true GM (General Motors) unit which has the clamps on each end.
NOTE one end has the 3 inch opening to clamp onto the 3 inch cold air intake elbow. The other end is egg shaped and couples onto the air cleaner.
VERY TOUGH TO FIND ITEM this unit is used but in excellent shape.
